I'm glad you enjoyed your package mcbenno. I'm glad you liked everything and now you have a start to an atc collection. Grin I can't wait to see whats in the package you sent me. All these packages are amazing looking at everyone's take on certain words.

I would love to do personal swaps if anyones interested. If your interested please write me!

Woohoo, I'm back in reasonably-good-quality-image territory--I have a scanner now! Some of the photos refuse to be uploaded, for some reason. If they change their mind I will add them later, but there are several good highlights from the package for now...

Here's a group shot I was trying to take this morning. What is it about taking pictures of swap packages that attracts cats!? This cat isn't even mine! She's never done anything nicer than hiss at me, yet here she shows up to sit on everything goatgoddess sent me!

And here's a list of category fulfillment:

1) Chunky - a 4x4" chunky page, which is beautiful! Now I can start a collection of pages! And I just read my first Neil Gaiman book this month, so the quote from him is a nice coincidence.

2) Over 20 - This was quite good - a dictionary page which includes the word "twenty," and it's marked to emphasize the words on the page that are over the "twenty". I don't know if I'm adequately explaining it, but it was such a cool interpretation.  Cheesy

3) typography - an old map of one portion of Texas with lots of different ads

4) botanical - tropical napkins with tropical birds and lotsa flowers (I have to save these for my mom...Were these the result of stocking, or happy coincidence?  Smiley) plus some tissue paper with a botanical design (the first time I wrote that it said "boytanical", which must be a new descriptive term for things related to Brian Boitano). Also some pages from a vintage children's book (I think) with flowers aplenty

5) postal - stamps

6) photograph - a sheet of photos of her goats, which I'd requested! I loooove the goats.  Grin

7) label - several large retro/vintage labels, including a calendar page (in other words, very large!) of an old fruit label painting, shown in a picture further down in this post...

8 ) whimsical - cartoon Australian stickers, and a funny picture of a guy with the flu and his dog

9) found - a bunch of great ephemera she found in her stash, including this beautiful tag she made:

10) local - A guide from the Fort Worth Zoo

11) sharp - sheet music, because musical notes can be sharp!

12) vintage - a pack of several great things including lots of foreign language book pages and transparencies of vintage photos

13) transportation - a very old booklet about trains

14) altered - 2 ATCs!

15) senders choice - I might be mixing up categories with this and #14, they each could fit in either category - an ATC-sized piece of handmade paper, which I don't want to refer to as an ATC "blank" because it's gorgeous and artsy as it is!

I LOVE these multi-item, open-to-interpretation swaps of paper and findings and such because the wonders go on and on and on! I kept saying "Oooo! OOOO!" repeatedly as I sifted through the box, for lord knows how long; I can only wonder what my housemates heard/thought was going on.  Cheesy

Great crafting and great findings, goatgoddess! Thank you!

calluna  -  so glad you like your package - funny how cats have to be in the middle of everything <G>  She looks alot like one of my kitties - Spike (found at work - 4 weeks old and wild - he would hiss all the time - so named him after the vampire Spike on Buffy - his sister who was sweeter is named buffy - he's a big lovey dovey now)

the asian paper on the bottom is from a large sheet I brought at the art store several mths ago - I planned to use it but couldn't bring myself to cut into it yet so by sharing with you, now it's been cut into and I can start using it.

Everyone did such a great job on their packages - so fun to see all the different things sent. Smiley

The phrase your sister put together made me laugh out loud!! Pretty good for only half way through my coffee Smiley

According to my records, all but 3 packages are in transit or arrived and those semders have all been in touch (shakes fist at the paycheck gods on their behalf).
Now that most of you have sent & a some recieved, I'd really like some specific feedback. When you guys get time I'd love it if you could PM me your answers to the following questions. Thank you!

1) Is there any part of the swap information (rules, dates, etc.) that should have been emphasised more than it was? Too many rules? too few? just right?

2) Do you like long questionaires? why?

3) Do you think the time frame for crafting fit the swap?

4) Was the swap easy to keep withing the proscribed price?

5) What could have been done better?

Be brutal! I want to be a good swap organizer & I need honest answer to do that.

I'll get on those evaluation questions in just a bit.

I hope that when folks make things with the materials received in this swap, there will be a picture added to the gallery or at least a link to a photo!

Look at my array of stamps! I looked where each one came from and I was amazed.
