I made two of these for my sons.  I used JORDY's famous tutorial and adjusted it to be more messenger size.  I wanted to make it so that it can hang on the backs of my sons' chairs at the kitchen table, to put their school work, toys, whatever... to help keep the kitchen table tidy.  I wanted it also to 'fit' the boys so that when the bag is 'full' they can carry it upstairs and put the stuff away.

I should have made it out of a laminate, though, as it's already have spilled red wine on it... oh wells- next time.

What a great idea! And where did you get the sock monkey fabric?

Must make three of them for my niece and two nephews for Christmas!

Isn't he cute!? I'd smile too if I had a cute bag like that. Mmm... how did the boys spill wine on it?!  Grin  Shocked  Huh  Grin

actually, it really helps, especially those few moments right before dinner gets served... everything just goes inside!!  and yes, sactownsue, it was my wine... son tripped on his dracula cape (halloween) and the mulled wine went down!
