Once again this year my kids blew us away with their costume request. The youngest wanted to me a gnome so the oldest piped up with...."OH and I can be her mushroom house" Smiley

So some duvet covers converted and tons of paper mache later we have..... the gnome and her mushroom house.

Those are adorable!  I noticed that Family Fun had some gnome costumes this year.  It must be "the thing" for 2008!   Smiley

Smiley I am sure that the gnome thing came up because I have them all through my laundry room now. I had to put my gnome fascination somewhere so they went into my laundry room to help me smile in the one room that it can be hard to smile in.
Would love to see the link that you are talking about though.

Much Peace and thank you for the kind words

Fantastic! Hope you added one of these pictures to your Gnome collection!

This is a work of fiction.  All the characters in it, human and otherwise, are imaginary, excepting only certain of the fairy folk, whom it might be unwise to offend by casting doubts on their existence.  Or lack thereof.~Neil Gaiman

These look fabulous! Love your interpretation of the gnomes. (And I just love the fact that your oldest wanted to be the mushroom house!)

I saved this in my favourite costumes section of my wists! Cheesy

WOW, thank you so much. You made my night Smiley The costume really was very easy to make. The whole thing took a total of two days and that really was just because the paper mache had to dry.
