So I decided that I would make my youngest a costume for Halloween this year (I made my oldest one and thought that the baby would feel left out if I didn't make him one). Just as I really started to plan it out, my mother and stepfather came for a visit. Always the creative one, he suggested a lamb for the baby and a wolf for the big boy. Cute right? and really how much longer could it really take to make 2 costumes instead of 1? Well, I found out that it takes ALOT longer. I decided that I would be able to wing it and not use any type of pattern (my mother was in rolling when I put the big boy on the table to trace his muslin - OK not too professional but it got the job done). To make a very long story short; if I ever decide to do this again I will leave MUCH more time because I did not get them done in time for the first party (but did finish the morning of Halloween) and will remember to rearrange my schedule so that I am not trying to sew while the kids are still awake. I have learned pins, scissors and seam rippers are sooo much more interesting that any toy designed for them. Anyway, on to the picts...please let me know what you think.
