A local band I like ( www.myspace.com/ragamuffinchildren ) were selling snap cards at a show, so I got 2 decks, one for playing with and one for crafting with as the pictures were just so damn cute!

The other day I made a notebook out of two of the cards, and I thought I would share it here.

Inside Cover:

This was very easy to make, it only took me about 20 minutes, and most of that time was spent cutting (well...ripping..) the paper.
Thanks for looking, and any comments questions or (constructive) critisisms are most welcome.

What is a snap card??

These are adorable and I really like the illustrations.

I would make a ton of little notebooks but I have no use for them =[

I love personal swaps - Just send me a message

Have you ever played the card game snap? Where everyone makes a pile with the cards and when a pair comes up you have to slap your hand down on it and yell 'snap!'?
They were a deck of cards made especially for that game.

Jamaican War! What an awesome name, so much cooler than snap.

It was super easy, I kinda just made it up as I went along.
First of all I ripped my paper (by creasing and wetting it) the size of two cards, so each piece would make two pages.
Using printer paper I could get 3 pieces, and used 4-5 sheets of paper.
Then I folded each piece in half and used my nails to make a really sharp crease.
I put them all into a neat stack and then got some clothes pegs to hold them together tightly.
I got glue and glued up the creases nice and thickly, and then put it between some heavy books (with just the gluey bits hanging out so it wouldnt stick) and left it to dry a bit.
I got some nice sparkly paper and cut it out the size of 2 cards plus a few milimetres for the spine. I glued the cards to this.
I bent the cover so I had a spine and then put a thin strip of glue down it, and stuck in the pages.
Then I rubbed the spine on the table so it would be nice and flat, and pressed it between the books for a while longer.

It was really simple, but I am kinda sucky at explaining it!
I hope it makes sense and if you have any more questions or need something clarified let me know!
And if you make some please show me, 'cause I would really love to see!
