The business office building where I work goes nuts over Halloween and no other holiday.  Every year there is a door decorating contest and then there is a big party on Halloween itself with a costume contest and the winner of the door decor is announced.

My theme was Sweeney Todd ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweeney_todd if you don't know the story).  I conceived of the "set" in September and have been crafting my little heart out in 30 minute spurts when I had the chance.  Pics below!

Overview of the whole she-bang.  I sit just inside the door there.

Most of this is self explanatory.  The oven is my favorite bit.  Clicky for larger pics.

I had 4 of these signs posted at the far ends of the hall leading to our door.

The Cafe:

Notice the foot coming down from the trap door in the ceiling.  Eeeeeee!

The oven was my favorite part, but also took the longest to make.

The stairs leading "up" to Sweeney's

This year there were 22 entries.  I took first place.  I am still in shock!

Thanks!  It was really fun to do and with only a $100.00 budget, my hands were tied quite a bit on what was feasible- that and constraint of the location.  I had a lot of people coming over and posing with the "set".
