Good news selkie, I'm glad it all worked out for you and your family Smiley

mimi, after sewing a stocking for dropdeadsuzie in the stocking swap, my illusions of starting to sew my own clothes dissapeared rather quickly when I had to re-do oh about 3 times (backwards, inside out and some other combination that I can't even describe....who knew there are so many wrong ways to sew???)  You sewing girls are amazing....give me paper, glue and scissors anyday Cheesy

I can't remember if I mentioned this yet but round 21 should be up by late afternoon on sunday.  this will be the last round that I will use the current swap slot, so please remember that you will need an extra spot for round 22 that will start on January 5 (we're taking a week off to accomodate L2E's vacation)  As soon as all your claims from round 21 are clear, I'll update and close the old spot out.

I am working on some Christmas gift tags that may or may not make it into my shop.  I am totally envious of you patient paper crafters...by the time I get everything out to make something I am already getting bored with it...then there is also the drying time...I need a longer attention span  Cheesy

I agree.  Hats off to all the talented paper crafters here.  I just started making some simple cards and I'm already pooped.  I'm thinking of having Lana help me glue down the hats.  She loves crafting with me.  The other day she told me that one day she'll have a baby and then he/she will be her crafting buddy.  Smiley

Since we're taking a week off, I'm going to tip you guys off to a yarn I'm working on for this swap. It's going to be called "Northern Lights I and II" because I'm making two matching ~2.5oz skeins. Claim one for 3 points or both for 5 points, and add an extra point for knitting service if you want it knit up into a garter stitch scarf (or PM me for other knitting requests). It's grey icelandic wool and loop baby cakes spun together and plied with black thread, for a grey, black and white with splashes of color and texture from domestic wool, black alpaca, sparkle and sari silk. The icelandic is kind of coarse so it's not for people who mind rough yarns a lot. It's kind of like a black and white version of this yarn from many moons ago:

Cheers to selkie!!

Miss V, that yarn is drool-worthy...Is it normal (among crafters, at least) to enjoy looking at new handspun and/or hand-painted yarn more than finished projects made with the yarn?  Smiley

Just to be extra clear.....our little holiday starts December 31 at noon to January 5 when round 22 will start up.  There will be a discussion thread set up on Dec 31 for the new round but signups won't start till Jan 5....and you need an extra swap slot Grin

Your yarn is gorgeous Miss V!!!!
