Hi there,
so I've been lurking around here, nabbing ideas getting inspired and commenting here for a while now, but I'm pretty much a newbie still .. not exactly a crafting newbie, I've been doing a little of that from time to time for my whole life now, but I'm not exactly good at anything yet.

Anyway, I decided Greybow said I should show one of my favourite things I've made here:

Please click on the pic to enlarge

My black and white striped armwarmes with a black lace trim. Made this July.
The striped fabric is from a 2 H&M top, above mentioned Greybow gave me that idea.
They're all handsewn as I'm still too lazy to learn how to use our sewing machine (but I hope I'll change that this week!). Due to my lack of talent and practise the seams are rather sloppy, but that makes them unique yes? =]

Named after a Dresden Dolls song as Amanda's style inspired me to make them and I happily wore them to both their and her solo show I went to this year.

Thanks for looking and I'd appreciate any kind of suggestions, I plan on making more =D

Very cute.  What about a  little lace at the finger end, too?  Or is that too impractical?

Two Things.

1) I LOVE these.  They're awesome.

2) I LOVE the Dresden Dolls!  I went to their show earlier this year, and I was supposed to go to her solo one but I'm not going to be able to *is sad*

Thanks for the comments, you three! =)

Ludi - Mhm, yes that would probably look great, might be a bit uncomfy at the thumb part at least. Thanks, I guess I'll give it try next time.

Bork - Awe, yes I love them too. You wouldn't have guessed, hm? XD .. Hope you'll get a real chance to see her solo soon too, she's awesome ^_^

I'd thought the title might have been a reference to the Dresden Dolls Smiley. Nice work they are very Amanda Palermeresque. I went to their show in Atlanta ('06 I think) and it was amazing.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

I love the Dresden Dolls SO MUCH!  My daughter would be adorable in those.  She's 6 but those are totally her style.

LOVE 'em! I think the hand-sewn look is the perfect fit (pun intended).

I heart Amanda. 21 days 'til I see her solo show! Shocked
