Hi fellow knitters and Craftsters! I have a few questions about the Generations Purse pattern from Knitpicks. Link here: http://www.knitpicks.com/Generations+Purse_PD50553220.html where you can download the pdf for free. This will be my first lace project as well as first pattern following the chart (very excited about this!)

I want to be able to knit this in the round so since there is no seaming does that mean I would get rid of the first column on the left in the chart because it is a selvage stitch? I also want to have the lace both in the front and in the back (instead of a st st back): would I knit round 1 and then go back to the beginning of round 1 and repeat (and then move on to round 2)?

Thanks for your help, I want to keep my tinking and frogging to a minimum if I can help it!  Grin

I think you have the right idea.  Get rid of the left chart stitch and a back stitch too (ie cast on 74 sts).

Just follow the chart twice around and keep going.  It should work out without any problems.

Good luck.
