That notebook is fantastic!  Excellent idea.

We are a pretty awesome group of grad-crafters, if I do say so myself.

Just wanted to add to RangerBeth's post... my goodies were AMAZING. The notebook is seriously the cuddliest thing ever, and the bag inspired me to go through the massive stack of journal articles gathering dust on my end table and actually READ them, just so I could put them in the bag! My boyfriend was very jealous of the coffee holders, but since I have two, I might consider sharing.  Cheesy

Thanks, again, RB!

I received! I am jumping with joy. Ruinate is a fabulous stalker and made me the document cozies I've wisted! AND she made them out of awesome fabric, when I opened the package my husband even said "thats some good lookin fabric" (nerd). The ribbon is also really cool, its double sided, which I've never seen before.
Big cozy

Big and little cozy

I also got a rockin lunch bag that I used today! Its so much roomier than my other one so it fit my soup can, a bowl, crackers, a snack AND a soda (yea I like to eat).

She also found my weak spot which is cookies. I made my husband stay out of them long enough to take a picture. But I kid you not, 30 sec later they were eaten.

I am super pleased and can't wait for a round 2! (maybe after exams though pleez).

I love those document cozies (and the Obama sticker isn't bad either -  Grin).

Star217 received a week or so ago, but I know she's been really busy so I thought I would just throw my own pictures up.

The whole shabang: laptop sleeve, collaged and stitched days of the week folders, pens lined with pretty paper, decoupaged binder clips, and (of course) fabric covered pushpins.

Detail of the laptop sleeve (with vintage velvet button):

The little stuff:

I hope you liked everything, Star (and I REALLY hope the laptop sleeve fits)!

I LOVE The laptop cozy. Did you use a pattern or make it up? I really need one. REALLY need one. Also, those decoupaged binder clips... I'm so into that. I love that haul, you did a wonderful job.

Wow, Alli_Lucy, what a fabulous package you sent!

If you have received, please be sure to send me an official "received" PM!  I have updated the front page of the gallery according to everyone who has notified me.  Please note that posting in the gallery isn't enough--you've gotta PM me before I can leave feedback!  THANKS!!

I received my wonderful package from Star217!  She sent me fabulous stuff to keep me toasty while I work in my departmental library (which is ALWAYS freezing).  From left to right in the photo there is a purple beret, a black, grey, and silver woven scarf, and a blue and orange scarflette (I LOVE that stitch - so pretty!).  She also included a fantastic leather travel journal.  It might become my dissertation notebook for next summer's research.  Leather notebooks are great for archaeology, since you can easily wipe the dirt off.

I'm sorry I couldn't get a better picture: it is extremely gloomy here today.  I tried to get an action shot, but it is too dark and I am (apparently) too shaky to get a clear mirror shot.

Thanks again, Star!
