Now, most people would see http://www.coatscrafts.co.uk/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/Triangular+Box+Cushion.htm and think, "Oh my! What a stylish pillow!"
...well, not me. I instantly thought "TRIFORCE!" You know, from the video game Zelda?

I made this about three years ago, and didn't think much of it until...

Friend: "My dearest friend, would you like to play some Star Wars Dungeons & Dragons with me?"
Me: "...Good sir, I am not that nerdy yet!"
Friend: "... .....Um, WHO has a Triforce pillow on her living room couch?"
Me: "... ... .......me..."

It's big. Like... 2 feet on each side big. And it's a very good way to tell who's a Zelda fan. People who don't know Zelda will just go "pillow!" and hug it. People who have heard of Zelda go "Is this... a Triforce?!". True fans, however, say nothing. They walk up and without asking lift it above their head and go "DUN-NUH-NUH-NUUUH~!"

...seriously. I've seen four people do that.  Cheesy

Also, Luma pillow! (From Mario Sunshine Galaxy. One of my few attempts at sewing...)

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Well the pattern for the pillow is in the link I posted, just make bigger triangles. (And plus I held two strands of yellow together to make it thicker.)

The Luma pillow was made in like... 30 minutes. Really, I just cut that shape out of fleece, made two darts at the bottom by the feet, zig-zaged stitched on two felt eyes, sewed the arms on and then the two halves together... and viol!
I absolutely ADORE the noises Lumas make, don't you? That's why I needed a huggable Luma.  Wink

That's awesome! I must admit, I immediately recognized it as a triforce. However, I could not for the life of me figure out what tune "DUH NUH NUH NUUUUH!!" was. So, I called my little brother. And lo and behold, he sings it. Ooohhh, THAT song. Of course, he loved it. *THIS ROCKS*

As soon as I saw this on the homepage, I immediately went, "Triforce!" I stink at most video games but I enjoy watching others play. Plus, I know just enough about the gaming culture to have "geek cred". Grin
