First you accidentally destroy a sweater in the wash. Then you're hunting through goodwill racks. Soon you can detect 100% wool in under 0.0000003156 seconds from a distance of 15 feet. And when your husband is getting his winter clothes out from the back of the closet and trying them on, all you can say is "no, it doesn't fit - I'll take it.....Oh look, it's ripped, give it to me....it's very 'miami vice' - you don't want to keep it, really...."

Very cool! I wish I had thought of something like this years ago when my now sister in law (then just brother's gf) shrunk numerous wool sweaters of mine. It's like you can't borrow it if you feel the need to wash and dry it!  I really like the colors you have!

How are you attaching them together?

How are you attaching them together?

I'm just butting them up against each other and machine sewing with a  wide triple zigzag stich. It's suprisingly sturdy.

What a great idea! That blanket will be so warm and wonderful - perfect for snuggling under to watch a good movie.

I love personal swaps,  I print a lot of random fabric, usually with no purpose in mind.  let me know if you want any of it.

Suddenly I feel the urge to go through my jumpers to find which ones no longer fit.
