This is an ID Case made from an old cassette tape. I split it open ripped out the insides and used heavy duty tape for a hinge. It closes with velcro and has a key ring strap.
It can hold an ID, credit card and 20 bucks just fine.
I don't have any other pictures of it right now but I can take some it people are interested

Here is a quick tutorial I made, sorry if it doesn't help much I dont own a digital camera so I had to draw it out. Hopefuly in the future I can up load some actual photos.

Optional steps:
Key Chain: If you want to add a key chain I would drill
the hole before you add the hinge. If you donthave a drill ( I didnt )
you can use a small screw driver and press and turn in for about a half
hour into the corner of the tape making a hole.

Not so ugly inside: If you dont want to see all the little places you had to
cut plastic away you can line the tape with you choice of material.
I used contact paper.... but Im sure you could use fabric and
spray glue or something along thoes lines.

Wow, that is wicked awesome Shocked.  I'm curious though.  Cassette tapes have holes in them, how would it close if there's stuff in it?  It doesn't look like there's anything in it now because you can see through the holes.  Could you take a picture of the tape with stuff inside it and show the hinge?  Sorry, I'm a bit obsessive with knowing how things work Tongue.

Those are very cool!  How exactly do you split it open without splitting it completely in half?  Sorry for the silly question, but these are so cool and I would love to make some myself, if you don't mind.  Grin
