That is really pretty! Was the brochade hard to work with? I have some, and it seems to unravel quite a bit on the cut edges. Also, huzzah for first zipper! They always give me a lot of trouble.

ohh, very pretty!  brocade is soooo expensive around here though.  i'm going to wait until i'm better at sewing before i try stuff with expensive fabric.  great job, though

thank you for the nice comments everyone. Yes the brocade was a pain in the arse to work with. My one and only time. I thought about making a bag with the leftovers, but I think I will pass. It unravels like mad. I suppose fray check might cure the problem, but blah, cant be bothered....haha

that's fabulous! you can't see me but i'm drooling over how gorgeous the fabric is!!!  Cheesy i have a thing for brocade, and i'm wondering where you got it ... i've seen it in stores for like $50 (Canadian) a meter, which is (i think) ridiculous. any tips on where to find it cheaper?
