Hello all Smiley I've had some time to sew since I'm in between jobs, and I'll be using this time to start on a portfolio for next year - I'm going to try for a fashion design scholarship at a local art school, as the fees are just too too much. I really hope I get it *crosses fingers* I've wanted to study fashion for years, and now that I've finally finished school at my polytechnic, I can go do what I really love. Anyway, here's what I've made with some gorgeous check fabric I found at Spotlight! This blazer started out life as something else entirely, a motorcycle style jacket to be exact. I had the perfect silver zip to go with it too. But I realised that it would have been too much, what with the busy pattern and all, so I opted for a cute cropped blazer instead. Just winged it basically, and I'm going to add pockets in the morning. I forgot to take a fabric close-up DOH  Lips sealed The pictures do it no justice, it has some raelly pretty silver threads running through the fabric, prettyyyy Cheesy

On to the visuals!

Here's my mug. I also made the fringed purse

Ohai 'tocks

Hahaaa I tried to get my shoes into the picture, but ended up looking like a really awkward ballerina.

Cheers everyone Wink

i'd rather be sewing.

Cute. I like. The plaid is definitely too busy for a motorcycle jacket.

Oh I can so imagine the silvery thread running though that fabric. I'm glad you didn't make a motorcycle jacket out with it, this is waay better!
