My beekeeping friend just had a birthday, so I made her this pin set.

I made the flowers from various yarns, and they're different sizes so she can stack them if she wants to.There are two more leaves for mixing and matching that somehow didn't make it into the picture. One is light green with picots around the edge, a little smaller than the one in the picture, and the other is a brighter green with points.

I used a hat pin that I bent with round nosed pliers to hold everything together. Do you know hard it is to find a hat pin theses days? I called four places before I talked to someone who even knew what a stick pin or hat pin was!

The extra jump rings and the shape of the pin let the bee bead move around as if she were buzzing around the flowers.

My friend loves it! What do you think?

I wish I could make flowers as well as you do. (I always forget my flower patterns after I make them for some odd reason)

A crochet flower pin set is a good idea! I like how they look stacked up too, good job! I really like the bright blue flower, how did you do that one?

Aw, thanks. I write out all of the patterns I like onto 3x5 cards and keep them in a little file box so I don't forget them.

Do you mean the bright blue one shown with the bee? (the colors didn't come out true, so I want to make sure I give you the right pattern!)
Ch 6, sl st to form ring
ch 1, sc into ring, ch 12, sc into ring until you like how full it is and then sl st into first sc, fasten off. Ta-da, you're done!
