Anyone want to start one?  Or something....  I know it couldn't be ON craftster, since it doesn't relate to crafting -- unless someone has an idea to incorporate crafting or a swap?  Any ideas?

I realized today that I need to start trying to lose weight, and I wanted to see if anyone wanted to join me. Smiley

(if it's not okay for me to post this here, or at all, just let me know)

I would be very interested in something like that!  Should we move this to the swap board and see if anyone has any ideas?

There was a weightloss swap last year https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=147957.0  Perhaps you could do a Round 2?

Looks like there is an idea in 2008 as well https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=238825.0  I don't think it ever happened, so try reviving that thread. Smiley

I think I would be interested in a weight loss swap.....Swaps usually take a couple months and that is a good amount of time to give each other encouragement to start losing weight. I am going to go check out that thread-Thanks Sweets!

It seems that different people have an idea of what I am, and what I should be. And then there's me.

But... if we all lost weight... we wouldn't have any
curvacious craftsters  Grin  Just kidding, I too have been trying to re-start my diet and I think it's a great idea.

I don't know if anything ever came of this post...but a friend of mine just told me about www.sparkpeople.com

It's an online community for weight loss goals.  They have you type in your info, and likes dislikes, as well as goals.  And they give you meal plans, fitness plans, and trackers for both.  As well as daily reports on how you're doing to reach your goals.

They have an area where you can join "Teams" to help support your weight loss.  Not sure if there is one already(I didn't see it when I poked around) but we could create a Craftster member weight loss team on there.  It's a good way to discuss our weight loss goals and still remain crafty, without comprimising the rules of craftster...I think so at least.

If anyone joins my name on there is erinmariezee...you can say I reffered you and you'll already have one friend to help you stay motivated!

I was just gonna say we could do an off-topic thread in the FOC area...but a lot of people that posted in this thread aren't FOC so I guess that wouldn't be very helpful (and yet here I am still typing anyways). We have a bit of a support group for chronic illness there and I find it very helpful.
