So tomorrow is my sister's baby shower and this is her first baby and she is having a boy! This is also my first nephew so I'm extra exicted!! here are the pix. so i requested the help of my best friend who is a pasrty school student and she was so excited to help. the guidelines where whatever you want as long as it was 1/2 strawberry and 1/2 plain....so with that this is what she came up with

this is the middle of the cake....she made 2 cakes and layered them..and one side is strawberry..and the filling is not like the jam..its pasrty cream made with strawberries amd then she sliced straberries on top

this is a closer pix

after she made a second layer...she put it on top and then she added a layer of butter cream, she put it in the refridge and then added another layer to make it all smooth then she took an edge tool to decorate the sides of the cake.

making the piping...she used navy blue food coloring and some of the buttercream frosting

this is the edge design she did all around the bottom of the cake

and thisis the whole cake...finished...his name is Jai Pierre Little!!!

a close up of the swirl pattern in the frosting.

a chocolate sucker that i made. it says It's a boy...made like 12 of these..it was so easy

pix of my friend...she was in the middle of coughing...and i couldnt resist!!!

I am still cooking and there is no telling what time i am goin to bed considering i still have to make the tablecloths!!!... a sisters work is never done..i will be takin pics tomorrow so there will be more...

thanks for lookin..comments are more than welcomed!
