V-Stitch hemp bag by madchemist20, on Flickr

I finished this bag a couple of days ago, and my fingers are still cramped. I used hemp, and severely underestimated how hard it would be to crochet  with it. I am still relatively new to crocheting, but was feeling froggy, and I'm reasonably pleased with the results.

Here is the pattern I used: http://suzies-yarnie-stuff.blogspot.com/2008/05/june-go-green-market-bag.html

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Great bag!!!  And yes, hemp is a bugger to knit or crochet with, but turns out lovely does it not?!!!  Thanks for sharing~

Thanks for the comments guys! If any of you guys attempt this, i would love to see the results!
--Bolshy: I get my hemp from either online, or from my local Michael's. I really prefer to got somewhere not associated with a chain, but out here in Louisiana, resources are limited, and you gotta take what you can get.  Good luck everyone!
