This is the watermelon bag I made for the fruit and veges swap. I liked it so much, I nearly kept it, but decided it was a little too small for all my stuff, so I guess I'll have to make myself another one!

The straps tie up, so you can choose the length you want, and there's a little button and loopy-thing that helps keep it closed. There's also two pockets on the inside. The green is actually a lot nicer than in the pics - my camera doesn't seem to like greens very much  Wink

A tutorial can be found HERE in my blog.

So great! Did you make your own pattern? That's crazy awesome if you did. It would look great with some jeans and a red tank...I can see it now. How long did it take you? It looks so nice. I love fruit-inspired things!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Cheesy

Did you applique the seeds?

The seeds I drew on with a fabric marker, I never actually thought of applique, I just chose the easiest way! But applique seeds would look really good!!

Did you make your own pattern?
How long did it take you?

Yeah, I had to make a pattern for the watermelon part, because the bag is wider around the middle of the watermelon than at the sides where the strap is. It took me a good few hours to make, mostly because I had to wait for the fabric paint (the white bits) to dry in between coats.
