OK guys...I'm kind of a woose when it comes to color...So this is crazy for me! It is called Azteca Turquoise!!!

Sorry it's sideways!!

This Audrey Hepburn pic is from a calander and is totally the right color, huh? Grin

I got the towel stand thing from freecycle Shocked (I love you whoever mentioned that!!!) and the other basket from goodwill. The towels are cheapy-Wal-mart and the rug was $10 at the Dollar store. The candle was $5 at Ross.
Any ideas for the window? I tried the tissue paper/starch thing. Ummm, yeah, that didn't work. I have no patience for stuff like that, I guess! Undecided  I sew, I just haven't found the right thing yet. Let me know what you think or if you have any ideas to improve it...I'm not creative, I just copy stuff so anything you can suggest would be helpful!!! My mom-in-law is coming in a month!

i stole this idea from a home decorating show, but it might be cute, since the window is in a bathroom, which needs privacy.  I did this in my house too.

I bought one of those cheap vinyl pull down shades, taped it off, and painted stripes on it.  i thought it looked really good upon finishing it, then i just hung some plain old curtains with it...

Your shade looks great! I kinda did the same thing in my guest room....

I took the stick out and hot-glued in up higher. Then I glued the ribbon over the top of it. I used my scrapbooking template thing to cut the edge.

(I am in the process of painting the room so the shade was off and layed funny when I stuck it back up for the photo.)

I could do another one, I suppose.  Any other ideas???

I was going to post a pic of something I did on my bathroom window but haven't yet.. I have a VERY tiny bathroom (think airplane size) with a narrow window that looks directly onto my neighbors back porch (5 feet away)..   Instead of doing a blind or something I cut clear contact paper to the same size as the glass itself.  I then peeled the back off the paper, layed it flat on the table and used scraps of fancy rice paper and tissue paper to form a pattern covering the contact paper.  I place another piece of contact paper on top and then used rolls of scotch tape to stick it on the window.  It looks really pretty and provides privacy while still letting the light come in.  I've had a lot of comments on it and while I thought the scotch tape might not hold up it's been up for 2 years of steamy showers and I've never had a problem!  I'll try to post a pic later....

Good work with the rest of the bathroom though.. I LOVE Audrey and the picture and the paint color you chose are so perfect together! I would LOVE to paint my bathroom like that, but living in a rental I have to stick with the boring white walls!

LOVE it!!! The color looks really fab, and I'm a huge fan of Audrey, too!
For the window, maybe try window film? I don't know how much it would cost, but there are a lot of options ... try looking at Lowe's or something like that.
Hope this helps!
