My favorite bra that I hardly every got to wear becomes a wall light thanks to an idea on tramplamps.com.  So I started with an unpadded bra (size 34A).  I used fabric stiffener (aleen's?) and a small paint brush to stiffen just the cups.  Paint onto the back of the cups and then used some ball shape (like rolled socks) to hold the shape while it dries.  You'll need some plastic wrap to put in between so the bra won't stick to the ball shape.  Air dry overnight.  Next I added the bottom part which is just an old tank top that I loved, cut off and sewn on.  Coat the remaining area of the bra with the fabric stiffener and fasten the clasp together.  Find a padded hanger or stack several hangers together so it is about 1 inch and find a place to hang the wet bra.  Let dry.  If the bra is not stiff enough to hold it's shape, then recoat.  Paint the bottom part with stiffener if desired.  For the light I used one of those tap lights that only use batteries.  Hang the bra on the wall with a chosen hanger.  Mount the tap light on the wall behind the bra (see photo for approx. area) and you've got a light.  *Keep the voltage low on the light because fabric is normally flamable.

it was brilliant that you used a tap light--it sounds so much safer, too!

You did an amazing job! I really love the idea of using the taplights too, it'd make it easy to hang the light just about anywhere...  Grin

One of my friends is having a baby and I was thinking about doing the same thing with baby clothing.  I'd havve to get a large enough size to fit the tap light safely but I think it could work.  I'll have to look for some clothing to match the baby's room.
