I was weirdly excited that we are required to wear labcoats in microbiology. If you don't want your coat borrowed by strange people, you need your name on it. I was going to make mine fancy, but the texture of the fabric causes freezer-paper stenciling to blur a bit, even using fabric paint. Which is sad, because I was going to be awesome and stencil tribal wings on the back like I did in another post

here's the in-process. As you can see in the previous image, when I tried to heat-set the paint, it melted my college's logo...sigh. Always good to learn finer points of one's craft I suppose!

Too bad the lab coats are a weird fabric.  My boyfriend is a microbiology major, my ears always perk up when I hear 'microbiology'...

Yeah, better weird fabric then microbes all over ones clothes, but still... it was disappointing. Microbiolgy ftw! Actually I'm a Biology major with an ecology focus, but micro is too awesome to pass up ^^
