I whipped up this project last night.  At first I wanted to make a cake stand, but I thought that a CD would be the perfect size for an individual cupcake.  I didn't have any Halloween cupcakes around and didn't want to make them, so I instead made my own cupcake to put atop my stand (and this one doesnt mold - ha ha).  It's kinda vintage looking in a way, I guess, but I always like to do Halloween crafts that are a modern take on those crafts of olden time.  Let me know what you think!

The instructions are kinda long, but they can be found at http://swelldesigner.blogspot.com/2008/09/terrorific-tuesday-cute-cd-cupcake.html
I also included photo step by steps for you to see exactly how to do it.

thanks guys!  Yeah, this would be cute to make for people to set out on a table or if you did the styrofoam cones at different heights and made a little grouping.

I think you also use it as a stand for a cute knick knack.

I love this idea, I was trying to figure out something cool to do for my wedding with the cup cakes, and doing the bride and groom's cupcakes on these stands looks perfect to me!
