For my surface design class we had to retell a story in four compositions using a monoprinting technique... it was my first time screen printing, and i LOVED it! we had to work with a partner though (randomly assigned=dud) which made the process pretty stressful, but it turned out just as i hoped! anyway, onto the pics!

here's the set

1) Peggy making her way up to the mansion

2) this is to represent her taking ed home with her and caring for him, the mother she is, and teaching him about live in the suburbs

3) to represent when edward flourishes with his topiaries and eventually haircuts, and just to show his acceptance in the neighborhood
(sorry the colors got so weird in this one!)

4) then finally to represent the ending, when the nighborhood turns on him, shunning him out, and forcing him back up to the mansion where he came from

so glad to have started screen printing! and now that ive taken the class, i have full access to my schools screen printing lab for the rest of my college career, yay! let me know what ya think!

This is an absolutely gorgeous depiction... short and sweet, yet bold. Great job! *smiles*

Love it! Probably helped by the fact Edward Scissorhands is one of my favourite movies of all time (I've even gone to a fancy dress party as him)

Simple and very effective Smiley The colours are great, and I like the little Peggy figure in the first pic Smiley

I was gonna take over the world but got distracted by something shiny
