Seriously, it's because of people on Craftster that I have now signed up to a local (as in, my city) auction house website, and am currently in a bidding war. What's the war about? This little baby...

Isn't she beautiful? Somehow I don't think I'll win her, but she is sooooo pretty. I'll name her Magda. I know nothing about it! No model name/number is mentioned, and I can't get down there before the auction to have a look, but I need this piece of art in my house.

Damn you, estate sales! And thank you, Craftsters, for fuelling my newfound obsession with old sewing machines...

Crochet uses a hook. Pirates have hooks, and they are cool. So crochet is cool because of the hook.

Wow! She really is gorgeous! I love those old Husqvarna machines, they are so pretty. That green colour and the whole feelning of them in general. Wishing you the best of luck with the auction, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

She's beautiful! I know what you mean about this board. I'm so obsessed with vintage machines. I just picked up an old Montgomery Ward today from a freecycer and another Singer 774 the day before.  I can't help it. There are so many forgotten machines out there and I'd hate to think of them ending at the city dump.

Ooo, so pretty! You should DEF get it!

LOL, I would totally jump in and bid on that one! However I'm gearing up for a roadtrip from Houston area (where I live) to Dallas to pick up a Vintage Necchi Supernova Julia so pretty painted pink and gorgeous art Deco style Cabinets.

MY DH just doens't understand why I NEED so many sewing machines, if he only knew, if he only knew.... ;0)

I was bidding on a machine very similar to this a while ago on Ebay.  It had different writing - very 50s style - but looked to be around the same age.  I still want one.

Did you win the auction?
