That came out very cute. You could always use it as a spring coat too since it's not too heavy and a bit big.

Thanks!  It's roomy enough I bet it will fit her for a year or so (at least).  Next one I'll probably use a thicker shell and lining so it will be a bit snugger.

ah super jealous my pattern hasn't arrived either! love it so much, i can't wait to attempt one for faith! did you use any kind of interfacing in it, or just the two layers of quilting cotton? i'm planning to make two coats at least, one lighter weight one like yours and then a heavier one for our super short winter, lol.

Nope, no interfacing...  I thought about sandwiching a third layer of microfleece but figured that could wait for another coat!  I don't know how I got the pattern before everyone else, the gods must have been smiling on me  Cheesy

I LOVE it! And yes, Vegbee is a TOTAL genius! Bias tape is now one of my best friends because of her!!!
It is a beautiful coat (the kid is quite a looker too!) I'll surely have to get that pattern soon and make a few of those for my kids!

ah, I'm finally back from crazyland (we should all visit once in awhile) and I come to see this lovely little number.  Makes me think that this jacket should be reversible... both fabrics need their own turn at being the outtie  Smiley

okay, yhen she or you need to let me in on your secret...bias tape is my mortal enemy.  i just don't use it.  if something calls for it and i can't manage without then i just don't make it.  and does the jacket call for it?  because i was about to go buy the pattern but, again, not a big fan of bias tape Wink
