These are the Spring Forward socks from Knitty Summer 2008 and I love them. The colour is so happy and bright (in real life, it's much more vibrant than in these photos. The other photos on my blog show the colour much better.). It's a really easy pattern and I definitely recommend it. It produces such a cool pattern even though every other row is knit in stockinette. The yarn is from Tanis Fiber Arts, colourway Mallard and I love this yarn. I have yet to block them, which should hopefully even out the slight difference in tension between the two socks. Anyway, onto the pics.

don't often comment on socks but hey, these are gorgeous! that last picture really shows them off, and the colour looks brilliant (even though you say it's brighter in real life...!). well done!

Very pretty!  Love the color and the stitch!  Wish I had the patience for it.

The Spring Forward pattern is one of my favorites!  I have a few pairs of socks using that pattern and even a pair of mittens and wrist warmers.  No matter what type of colorway is used, the pattern is strong enough to show through!

I highly recommend this pattern!
