A friend of the family is having twins, twin boys. I want to make some baby blanket, but I have no idea what pattern to use. So I'm posting to craftster for ideas! Grin I need something that would work up fairly quick, not be so challenging that I'm pulling my hair out, but not so easy that I'm going to be bored making two of them. Nothing with eyelets, nothing with fun fur, give me your best shot. I'm cross-posting this to knitting.

i would start by going through this website http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/baby_afghans.php
Although MY personal favorite baby blanket is the 12 point round ripple http://project-angel-kisses.150m.com/roundripple.html
I have made two before, one of which was for my husband's cousin's baby shower. Word of advice though, use worst weight yarn and a bigger hook. I used fingering weight baby yarn and an f hook...TOOK FOREVER! Looked fabulous but took forever! So use worsted weight yarn and an I hook.
