Super cute!  The pom poms really do add the perfect finishing touch!  I'm thinking they'd look really cute in an obnoxious kelly green...

vpop -- I actually bought a skein of kelly green in Reynold's Utopia and didn't realize how obnoxiously green they were... online pix of yarn almost always lie! But you're right, they would look cool! :-)

I'll have a pattern for you guys in a little bit. Thanx for all the ultra swell comps!  Kiss

These are the only pair of leg warmers I have seen that don't make me want to totally gag, man!

Besides, I lived through the first leg warmer craze.................so you understand my resistance.  Mine were lavender, g-d help me they were lavender.

This is like a sign.  I JUST told my sister I was going to make her a pair of leg warmers, and up pop these beautiful ones right in front of my eyes.  A pattern would be truly appreciated - I think she'd love these.

K, I haven't exactly worked a gauge yet, but here's the pattern:

MATERIALS:
Red Heart Super Saver (Worsted, medium) I used Cherry Red
US #7 dpns (5)
cable needle

CO 48 (12 on each needle)

rib stitch k1, p1, for about 1 1/2"

A) Rib Stitch k4, p4 (3 rows)
B) Next row: *cb4, p4, k4, p4, repeat from *
C) Next row: k4, p4 (5 rows)

Repeat directions B&C, 7 times

After 7th row of cabling, repeat direction A

rib stitch k1, p1 (increasing 1 stitch on first stitch of every cabled section)
Next row: repeat
Next row: Continue regular rib stitch k1, p1 for 2"
Bind off

Make 4 small pom-poms and attach 2 to the sides of finished legwarmers!

Enjoi!  Kiss

Sweet!  Thanks so much for the pattern, Flapperjakk!  Now all that's left is for me to decide what to make next- this, or your Gwennabe Zim hat!
