I was searching the internet for stuffed owls for inspiration to make my own as a gift for a friend and through the wonders of weird-ass boolean google search bots came upon the ever-popular knitted stuffed uterus... umm... thing.

I'd seen it before and inspiration never hit before, but I guess the hellish week I just had with some of the worst period cramps of my life lent a hand to my creative juices flowing. I just saw the stuffed pink uterus and instantaneously decided that I wanted a heat therapy bag for those pesky cramps.

I ran into the office and proclaimed to my husband that I was a genius and explained my idea. I guess the whole "guy" thing is keeping him from completely understanding the fabulous-ness of it. Oh well... I am still quite confident in my fantastic genius creativity.

So, onwards with the TUTE!!

*pink fabric (or really color of choice, I won't judge you by the color of your uterus, promise  Grin )
*essential oil (if desired)
*embroidery floss (if desired)

Step 1:
Take a large single piece of fabric and fold in half.

Step 2:

Step 3:

I again interrupted my husband playing games on the computer and asked "how do you like my uterus?" His response: "I dunno, I can't see it." *rolls eyes* I love him to death but sometimes he's such a GUY. I need more gay friends. *sigh* Moving on...

Step 4:

Step 5:

Whipstitch cervix opening shut and complete machined topstitching.

Step 6:

Step 7:

Step 8:

As with most everything I post on Crafster, feel free to make for personal use or gifts, but please don't sell tutorial or finished product. Thanks!  Grin

What do y'all think?   Tongue

ETA - Oh yeah, directions for heating. All the tutes I'd seen on the net advise to heat in microwave at 15 second intervals for up to a minute. Don't burn the rice or you will have a very stinky uterus... and no one wants that. You can also toss into the freezer as a cooling pack.

AHAH!  Adorable... my OH doesn't get it, either, although he did figure out all by himself that the bag would be used for period pains, clever boy.

I finally have a wist!
