So here is my pretty package from Craftywillow.

I'm Asatru and one of the symbols of my religion is Yggdrasil (or the world tree)
So that was the theme she picked for my package.

She had wrapped everything very nicely.

A Hand crafted bookmark

She handmade me 9 beeswax candles (they smell so yummy) representing the 9 branches

Last but by no means least.  She knitted this beautiful square to do with what ever I pleased.

Here is everything in their new home on my altar:

I loved my package!  Thank you Craftywillow, I hope you like yours just as much!

Wow, I've never heard of the religion Asatru. I saw the beautiful items crafted for you and then went searching on Wikipedia for more info on Asatru.  Fascinating!

What a lovely swap package, and so great to have someone honor your religion like that.

Wow, your knitted tree is awesome! It looks really nice just as it is, but I bet it'd make a fabulous panel for a bag too! Smiley What a great start to the gallery!

I received Anya Kase's amazing swap package in the mail today.  She totally spoiled me!  I probably wasn't the easiest person to craft for, since I combine Christianity and witchcraft, but she was so cool about it!

Here's everything all laid out, so prettily wrapped:

She made me a candle holder in the shape of a triskele--a triple spiral, which was an important symbol for me:

The detail on this is amazing--I want to know how you made the little flowers, Anya Kase! I've never worked with polymer clay before but you've totally inspired me!  Cheesy

Next I got this framed celestial cross stitch.  The pic doesn't really do it justice.  The colors are bright and really pop out, and the needlework is just fabulous.  I'm going to hang this up somewhere.  I have to ask, did you use a pattern or make it up yourself?

And I got this lovely bag with an image of Mary Magdalene on it, done by a Pre-
Raphaelite artist, which means Anya Kase is psychic or something, because the Pre-Raphaelites are my favorite art movement ever!

The pic is an iron on transfer she made.  She added a quote from a Tori Amos song about Mary Magdelene:  "The red of the red rose is its own/And something no man can divide".  And guess what?  Tori Amos is one of my favorite singers.  And I never mentioned any of this in my questionnaire!  Shocked Psychic, I tell you. Wink

Thank you so much, Anya Kase, for the wonderful swap experience.  You really went above and beyond.  I'm touched by all you crafted for me.  Grin

Yay!  I'm glad you liked everything! Grin

To answer your questions:

The roses were made by rolling tiny balls of clay then squashing them flat between my fingers then I layered the petals in a circle so they built on themselves.  and that's it!  I cut the bottoms off so they were flat enough to decorate with.

The cross stitch is a pattern that I found in a library book and I just really liked it.  It did take longer then I thought it would, but it was worth it!

I'm so glad you liked the bag!  I did alot of research on Mary Magdalene and when I came across this picture she just jumped out!  It was fate! Maybe even divine intervention. Grin  I'm just sorry the transfer didn't come out a little clearer.

This was a great swap and I had a good time learing about Craftywillows beliefs.

Here's what I received from fanasticmio! My religion is Christian of the Southern Baptist Flavor. Wink  I mentioned that my favorite colors were shades of green  and my symbol was the fish:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ichthys
(without the letters since I always forget what they mean)

I love bags and Fantasticmio made me a cute, green, crocheted, messenger bag with the fish on the front! It's the perfect size! not to big and not too little. Her stitches are so neat and tidy:

And action shot:

Next she made me the most beautiful magnet of Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus:

And then I'm almost thinking this is my favorite:

Lucky stars! Despite bing able to fold a frog and millions of cranes I can't seem to get these little guys no matter how hard I try. I've been wanting some for a LOOOOONG time. I took them to my hubby and shook them and was like "look how cute and pretty!" He smiled and nodded. He totally didn't get it. lol But it's ok I'll still keep him. Wink

And here's the whole package together:

Thank you Fantasticmio! It was a great swap and I hope yours gets to you today!

I received my package today.  Hooray!

I'm a solitary Wiccan and in desperate need for a Book of Shadows.  Eliea did a fantastic job filling that need!

Here is the cover:

The phases of the moon symbol is my favourite!

Some pages inside, made of home-made paper!

And with glitter!

I can't wait to start using it!

There are extra plastic page holders inside, as well as a template for the moon symbol that I'm already plotting to use to make matching accessories.

Thank you so much Eliea!

Most amazing package EVER, seriously.

Everything together- two embroidered napkins, an embroidered lavender satchel (mmm, FRESH lavender), a bookmark, and a lovely bracelet and necklace set (that somehow perfectly matches a necklace my bf just bought me Wink)

An amazing framed artwork with a chalice and rainbow.

The satchel and bookmark
Thanks again George Cheesy
