I posted this on here a few days ago, but for some reason I accidentally put it under questions... sorry about that.

A friend of mine is really into japanese street fashion. A local fashion zine was doing an article about her, and she asked me to paint a pair of shoes for her to wear to be featured in the zine with her. She asked me to incorporate the rising sun symbol, japanese symbol for "love", and red, black, and gold into them. I didn't take a picture of the inner sides, but I put some more japanese symbols around the heel. She gave me a pair of her old hi-top vans, which looked like this but the black toe/tongue part was a light grey color:

Soo, here's what I came up with:

Excuse my crappy phone pictures. The parts I painted black were suede, so they look shiny-ish from the paint and varnish in these pics. They were blurry when I sent them to my comp so I tried to sharpen them, but they just look more ghetto. hahaha.

Great job!  I really really like them!  And did you notice, those pictures are a total optical illusion? The second one down looks like you deflated the puffy bits on the high top, and it looks the same on the shoe on the right side of the 3rd picture at first glance!

It's a moat.  Filled with badgers.

Sometimes solutions aren't so simple - sometimes goodbyes the only way.
