Now that i managed to get 10 Postings, which was really hard for me (i dont speak english, i do speak german with english words ... i was not familiar with reading or listen to english until i found craftster  Embarrassed - please excuse my strange compositions in this posting), i like to show you, what i did to my kitchen ...

This was'nt one kitchen at all, it was two. When i went in to my husband, there were kitchen cabinets in the house, but i thought, that they didn't afford enough space for all the stuff to get in. So we put some cabinets of my old kitchen together with the existing cabinets ... didn't look good, but at that moment, there was no other way to do it (no money, old game ...)

The walls were left in the colors they had for years. Mustard-yellow, washable color at the lower part of the wall and white wallpaper with babyblue spots in the upper part ... *erhm* white, when it was put onto the wall ... nicotine-yellow, when i moved in.

But take a look at the horrible kitchen, before i went my wrath on it.

And after one hole week of working day and night, eating only fast food and brewing our coffee above the toilet:

It isn't completly finished, i am still searching for things to decorate, fabrics for curtains and there are still things left, which need to be painted (the noodles in the glasses on top of the wall cabinets for example ... at this moment i have painted only one of the glasses). But i found many things on a trip to amsterdam, some gorgeous oilcloth from Mexico to cover the shelfs in the cabinets and funny postcard to glue onto the tiles behind the sink ...

Apropos ... brewing the coffee above the toilet ... in this connection i broke our toilet seat. Climbed onto, to fill coffee beans into the machine   Embarrassed
So, we needed a new one ... and i was in painting mode  Cool

Strictly speaking, i didn't draw the octopus, i copyed the outlines and only put the color into ... made some changes to fit the toilet seat, but it isn't my art ... this is the artwork i used as my model: http://www.greatdreams.com/political/world-octopus.jpg

Okay, i think, i have made enough words ... comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for looking  Smiley

Your kitchen looks so clean and inviting now! I love that you chose several bright colors, yet the white keeps it from being overwhelming.

You inspire me to do something with my dark, tired kitchen. Thank you for that.

And your English is really very good.
It seems that different people have an idea of what I am, and what I should be. And then there's me.

I love the bright colors in your Kitchen. Not too much just enough to pop. Your english is fine. My favorite memory ever was when I went to Germany. I wish I had known more german when I went instead of relying on my friend from there. Too bad I only know the bad words.  Cheesy

I think your rendition of the octopus is brilliant.  Oh and congrats on your 10 posts. Smiley

Wow! What an improvement you made! Your new kitchen looks so clean and pretty, it's hard to believe it used to be that dark, muddy-looking room. Great work!
