Hhhmm....I never even thought about machine embroidery. Would any of you who have already signed up mind getting some machine work?

I'm kind of leaning towards keeping it to hand-done work only, but if anyone says they wouldn't mind getting machine work then you can sign up! Smiley

I hate to be picky but I really love hand embroidery. Cheesy

Currently taking a hiatus from swapping.  Sad

i'm considering this swap but havn't signed up yet, but i just wanted to offer my opinion on the machine embroidery.

i may be one of very few but i have an embroidery machine myself and YES it is tedious work especially if the design has a bunch of colour changes or you digitized the design yourself, but if i were to join this swap i would lean more towards receiving hand embroidered towels as i prefer the look better.

that being said, i havn't touched my very expensive, massive-has-every-stitch embroidery machine in like 6 months! my husband is thoroughly disgusted lol which is also why i am not permitted to buy a spinning wheel! oh well

I'm tempted by this swap, but have to take a look at my schedule and see what's feasible.

If I join, I'd be in the hand-embroidery-only camp.  When I think of tea towels, the first thing I think of is my grandma embroidering her towels with all sorts of vintage images.

Hi, i am thinking of joining this swap, but am wondering if appliqued tea towels would be ok? Not all of them, but maybe just one?

if i joined, i would not like machine embroidered designs.

Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and say that machine embroidery will not be allowed. Sorry to disappoint.

I think applique is okay as long as your partner agrees to it and there's some embroidery or cross-stitch along with it. Just please make sure to communicate with your partner! Smiley

I can't wait to see what people come up with!
