BrookOwens - Love your California Pin-up.  The leopard print is wonderful too.

~Glenda  - Your fairy is very pretty I like how you put the name of the tour in her wings great idea. Happy Belated Birthday

sundayafternoon...- Your owl is so cute.  I hope it becomes a Halloween Theme I love Halloween.  I can not wait to see that one in person.

DancingBoots - Your diner girl is so cute.  You did a wonderful job on creating her.

I'm going to give you the go ahead because I've seen the patterns on Needlecrafter and they do not make the whole pattern available (ie if given the option I'm sure people would still want to buy them) and the image has been redigitized not just scanned (you can see the difference if you compare a scan)...however unless you own the Vogart patterns I recommend that maybe you choose other designs from here on out and do definitely if you feel inspired customize the pattern Wink

Okay, thanks for that info.

I did surf around a bit after I posted that question last night and found a coloring book page that I like and which I think I can customize to fit sew~amy's theme nicely, and which I can definitely complete within a week's time.

Lovely work everyone!  I am excited to see what will happen next Wink  Susie is that a magic chain stitch I spy?  Brook I can't wait to see your towel in person!  Sunday and Glenda you both picked some great colors in completely different palettes!  I love seeing designs in different colors Wink

Rectangel-I can't wait to see what you are going to stitch on it!!! I must say I am not too thrilled with how it came out... but thank you all for your kind words!!! She was cute before I ironed her to DEATH!

Well, I had problems with my towel. I drew my pattern on with water-out pen, so I could embroider it while camping. Well it was quite humid, and I'm guessing the humidity washed it out before I could embroider it. I was hoping to put

(Imagine "Tea Towel" on the top, "2008" in the center, and "Tour" on the bottom)
on it so it in the middle so it would sort of match the center I did last year, but since it is send out date, there is no way I will get it done in time, so I am sending it out blank. Which I think I may like better, that way people can spread out and put their stuff where ever they want.
I was feeling left out that I didn't get to post a picture yet, and figured a picture of my blank white towel wouldn't be very interesting. Grin

All of the towels posted so far are amazing!

I have been using plain white tea towels as furoshiki (wrappers) for bento lunches to take to work.  I decided I wanted a Japanese/food themed towel and started mine off with a lucky cat from Sublime Stitching:

The katakana lettering on the sign is "no-mu no-mu no-mu" AKA "nom nom nom"... A lucky Japanese LOLcat!

I have to learn that fill in stitch that sewphie used.  It looks like a great choice for large areas!  Nice work!

Ezri_B-  I love that design!  The advantage of sending out a blank towel is that you can fill in the empty areas when you get your towel back.

Katchoo 1-  I like your theme!

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

Sewphie, that is some bodacious stitching!  I wish I could touch it, let alone be able to stitch like that!

Ezri_B, love the drawing you'd planned!  I'd like to *borrow* it one day!
I'm into owls these days, guess cause they're more popular and visible.

Will post pic of my efforts shortly!
