Michael Phelps: American God (t-shirt)

My hubby and I have been watching the olympics and have been joking about how in love with Michael Phelps the American media is. We were watching gymnastics and there was a thing in the corner of the screen saying "Michael Phelps in 5 minutes". While one of his teammates was swimming, they had a split screen to watch Michael watching the race... they even had a expose on what Michael eats on a daily basis! Do I really need to know (as a story on msnbc told me) that he was going to take a nap after the race? Yes, he is a great athlete and has won a ton of medals, but I think that it is overkill.
  So, we were watching the Michael Phelps-o-thon last night and I joked that I should make a shirt that says "Michael Phelps died for my sins"... then that phrase morphed into this... which sent hubby and I into a roaring laughter...

That is hilarious!! I agree with you about the Phelps mania. I'm not anti-Phelps by any means, but the media has certainly gone overboard. You should sell shirts like that, I bet people would go crazy for them! The image is really really cool too. I'd wear it!

I heart Michael Phelps..what ever hype he gets is very well deserved..that being said your shirt is hilarious..heres another one..

While I think that Phelps is a great swimmer, and a gift for the US olympic team, I am sick of the media obession with him.

I love it! My DBF wants a shirt that says "Phucking Phelps." We've been watching the Olympics  while working out in the gym at our apartment and it seems like he's all they talk about. When I ask him what's up next after not paying attention he always says that phrase lol.
