I like to wear my pin cushion while  I'm sewing, but, frankly, the usual tomato does not do it for me...  So I whipped this one in about an hour, and since I filled it with steel wool, my pins are always sharp!

thanks for looking!

Oh, that is CUTE!  Is he a hungry hippo, or just saying YEOWCH!?

Oooh, doesn't the steel wool get all over?  It IS a great idea, though!  I like to wear my pincushion too, and those teeny ring ones are, well, teeny, and in the way on my finger!  This one's great!

Thanks bcgrote!  Well, the steel wool (one without soap in it, of course) did leave a few strands while I was stuffing, but nothing major (but then, I'm used to work with faux fur, which is the worst...)
