This is the first time I tried the Anna wrap dress pattern. I found it to be a very easy pattern. I also tried my hand at making a hat for the first time. I appliqued an Owl on the front of the dress and used the same fabrics from the hat. I am still very new to the whole applique thing but I am pleased with how it came out. The back to school dress is way! way! to busy.... I just loved the fabric in the store and thought it would be adorable for my niece's first day of school but I've definitely changed my mind now that its all together. (OH WELL) you can't win them all.LOL...This is only my second post to the site.... I love seeing all of the beautiful creations that you talented woman come up with!!! It is very inspiring!

(Anna wrap dress from Farbenmix and the hat pattern is 3652 It's so easy by Simplicity)

I love the first one so much! What pattern company is that from? I adore the little owl and the colors are fabulous!

Never underestimate the inevitability of gradualness!

I think they're both very cute. You did a fantastic job on the appliques. I really like the BTS prints too, and hey they only have the first day of school once so let her stand out from the crowd.

I love it, it is just adorable!!! Is that hand applique? Great job. I have made that dress before and it was pretty easy once I started working on it.  Where did you get that hat pattern???

That first one is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time!  That is so my taste.  The owl is impeccable.  The hat is too cute!  I have several of those to make in the next few weeks.  Love the back to school one also!

The pattern is the Anna wrap from Farbenmix for those who want to know.  It'll run you $12-15 for the pattern and shipping from most sellers.

Love them both! I actually made a purse for myself with the first set of fabrics. Now I know I needed an owl!
