This was basically a practice run for my daughters 2nd birthday in December- i just bought the pan today (hobby lobby has a coupon for 40% off all wilton products- no limit woo hoo!)

ok, no special recipe or instructions, but this was the first time i've ever done anything like this. I used to wilton cake pan and buttercream frosting recipe (YUM) and a duncan hines cake mix.

OK, so when i flipped elmo, he cracked! (AAHH) And i also had a hard time using the decorating tips so any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I sew, paint unfinished wood, sketch, make jewelry, crochet a bit, loom knit, and sew. Pretty much if I can get my hands on it to learn, then I will know it. Maybe not perfectly, but enough for a hobby.

Looks good nonetheless! Um, I'm not a cake expert or anything but did you level it before flipping it? I've read that slicing off the uneven parts prevents cracking

The best tip I have with the decorating tips is give yourself breaks because your hands get sore.

I am squeezing the Disney magic right now.
