Me and my baby are getting married next June (2009). I'm so excited, and looking at all the great photos everyone has posted compels me to share what little I have done so far!

First things first...the ring:

The center stone is the reddest red garnet I've ever seen. I love it! It's the perfect ring.

Next...the dress:

It's cute and vintage and almost perfect. I need to shorten it a bit (right now it's tea length when I want more of a party dress), and change the side zip to a back closure. Haven't decided on lace-up or those tiny little bridal buttons. I'm sure they have a name, but I don't know what it is. Smiley

Last...the color inspiration:

Red was a given, but this necklace decided the accent. I love these two colors together.

There will be lots of work to do in the upcoming months. I'm planning on doing the invites, flowers (paper), decorations and cake (cupcakes and stand) myself (with a little help from my friends). I have an artist/museum exhibit designer friend who's making our cake-topper. We may or may not do the food--depending on the place we pick for the reception (another thing we've yet to do).

I'm looking forward to sharing my progress. Hopefully it will help keep me on track. I'm a terrible procrastinator!

I freaking love the ring! I don't really like diamonds, or basically anything traditional, as far as weddings go. I love your dress too. It's simply gorgeous.

He smells good, he really does! He smells like root beer.

I hate to just post the little "oh my gosh it's so pretty" reply, but, Oh my gosh, it's SO pretty!  I absolutely love that dress.  Who wouldn't want to be married in such a dress?  I hope your day is just as lovely as you're bound to look  : )

I like the color combination it's different and very pretty. Your ring is beautiful. I didn't want a traditional diamond ring so I went for sapphire.  It's so dark blue and I love it. Congratulations and have fun planning everything out!   Smiley

I was hell bent on finding the perfect vintage dress for my wedding. I found it at http://www.vintageous.com/dressy.htm. They have an awesome selection of vintage dresses. You might also try http://www.poshgirlvintage.com/. I checked both sites regularly until the right dress showed up.
