This is my first post on craftster... so be kind with me Smiley
I just got into making friendship bracelets this summer, and I think I'm stuck with it. It's a really simple art, but therapeutic and really quick and pretty! So, in other words, me gusta! Cheesy

Anyways here they are:

My third

My Second:

and my first:

I think they turned out alright for my endeavours, so I think I'm going to keep on doing this!

Rather than boring everyone with a long post, I wrote a long, long, long, long, very long post on my blog, so anyone bored should check it out! Wink  http://bienbleu.wordpress.com/2008/08/10/because-im-so-tangled-up/

I'd appreciate any comments, insights or criticisms, thanks! What do y'all think?

I firmly believe that anything that helps you destress is totally worth.  Kudos to you for keeping up such an ignored art!  BTW: I can't wait to teach my little ones how to do this!

I love these! Especially the white/scarlet one... those must have taken ages. I should find one of those patterns for a long car ride/flight...
And (at least from the picture) I can't tell where you had to switch in a new scarlet thread. But I agree with you that it's a very annoying process... especially right at the end.  Tongue

"Yes, and look what happens to you!"
"Nothing worse than what happens to you by not doing it."
"Spose not."

oh man, i forgot all about these.  I use to make friendship bracelets all the time.   Cheesy

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

Thanks guys! I think I really like making friendship bracelets now! It's a cost-friendly craft, looks great, good gift, etc, etc and it's quick, too!

slide338, it actually took only around three days with me working, studying for exams and reading a lot! That's what I really like about knotting. It's satisfying because of the speed - whereas knitting, cross-stitching and crocheting takes a lot of time!

Sandroo That so awesome! You should check out Heather's website. She has a lot of interesting patterns that are more than the candy-stripes. I think it's good for kids to stay away from the tv and their gameboys for a while! They're super easy and I think anyone could do it!

Very nice!  I found Heather's site a few week ago when I was looking for crafts to do with the kids to beat the summer boredom blues.  I wore friendship bracelets for years, but never knew how to do more than the basic.  Now that some of my kids are back in school I want to try some of the more complicated ones.  It is relaxing to sit and knot.

Hey guys! I just made another one a few weeks back. It was a good way to destress from the constant exams... and it was so quick too! :-)

I like the colours because they're vibrant... and during the winter, I try to stay happy with a little help. Wink Check out my blog! Too many more details, but y'know ya want to read it!

Hooray! I just want to thank you for taking me back to when I was 12 Smiley I used to make friendship bracelets constantly. I put it on the back burner many years ago. You've inspired me to bust out the embroidery floss again Smiley <br>
Keep up the fab work! Looking forward to seeing more.
