My sister is getting married in a little over a month. She has a lot of the regular household items already and only allowed 2 months to plan the entire wedding. So, I'm throwing her a surprise lingerie shower. I made the following Towel Cake for the party attaching various chocolate scented soaps & lotions and used sexy high heeled shoes to fit along with the lingerie theme.

That's most awesome indeed! What a great idea. There are THREE weddings in my near future, none of them my own, but I'm super involved in two of them so I've been racking the internet for ideas. This one is so great I may have to steal it =)

Meatwad: oh yeah, that's right.

That is too cool! I am going to a shower next week! I may have to make one. How many towels did you use? and how many layers? It looks like 3, but I just want to double check. Great Job.

Thanks for the compliments, it's pretty easy to make. The 'cake' has 3 layers. I used 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths. Folded the towels in half length wise, twice and just rolled it up, continuing to roll the second towel after the first for 1 big layer and then did the same thing with the hand towels and wash cloths. Then I just tied them with ribbon to hold each layer together. I had trouble getting the cake's layers to stay stacked on their own, so I just slid a ruler down the center of all 3 layers and that fixed the problem.

That is so neet.  My friend is getting married in July and I might make her one of these!
