So one of my best buds, who I work with is leaving me and moving to london  Cry
As we were all getting together I thought that I'd make her an edible present that everyone enjoys and decided on my patented everyone loves cupcakes! So I stole my mothers stand mixer and proceeded to bake approximately 54 cupcakes on the Sunday which I then frosted on Monday and presented to her on Tuesday. Time for pics methinks!

The lovely yummy batter

Baked Cupcakes

Yummy frosting

As my girl is rarely seen without some form of leopard print I thought it would be awesome to make them all leopard print... How wrong I was! Where I had used a plain old round tip for the brown spots, it had the effect of making it look like my cat had been very angry at me and decided to crap on my cakes as some sort of revenge!

Luckily enough I had made ridiculous amounts of frosting and had enough to frost the cakes white and have black writing and patterns on the rest. Not all of my friends can be open minded and we had to force them on people!
Instead I decorated some with a basic skull and polka dot patterns.

The rest got given the word treatment! Loads of different words that relate to awesome times we've had and would make her laugh as she read and remembered them

Some of my favourites were
"Child Hands" a reference to my tiny child like hands (we are simple folk)
"5:1" Gem's hand to boob ratio, basically the number of hands it takes to hold one of her well endowed boobs, I didn't use mine as it seems to be a pitiful comparison
"Hut Pies" a reference to the sign writing abilities, or lack thereof, of our favourite barkeeps where he intended to write hot pies but didn't quite join up the "O" properly
"Meerkat" a reference to the game at work were we would randomly move behind fixtures of clothing (we work in retail therefore easily bored) and poke our heads out in a crazy hide and seek fashion.

She loved them!

If any one wants any recipe that I've used, and I PERSONALLY recommend the chocolate cake recipe as I have been promoted to favourite person and had marriage offers based on them thar cupcakes, let me know and I'll edit it in.

And of course as visual proof that these were well recieved

any comments or advice on leopard print icing techniques, I'll be happy to hear!

I love the cute little skulls.  And my s.o. is a huge chocolate fiend, so I'd be supremely grateful if you'd share your recipe!  Your friend must have been delighted to receive such a thoughtful (and delicious) send off.
