Great project!

This would also work great for scrappers and catching bits of paper, adhesive backing, etc.  Scrappers really don't need pincushions, however.  I've been trying to think of what could replace the pincushion or a different way of "attaching" the bag to a table.  It could do double-duty for me, as I am addicted to both sewing and scrapping.

We are tiling our basement, so I have an abundance of the webbing/strapping used as stabilizer around the top.

Would a small, shallow tray be helpful for scrapping?  How about a magnet?  Cupholder?
