I couldn't help it. When the contest called for a favorite quote, this one was the first one that came to mind. I'll be the first to admit I'm a big 'ol "Star Wars" fan, and this was the perfect chance to blend my geeking and crafting.

This is the first counted cross stitch I've done (I've done a couple stamped ones), and the first one I've designed. My husband actually drew out the blasters, and the font was generated from yourpersonalizedpattern.com.

This was also my first foray into metallic threads, which I have to say, can be a major pain in the butt! They were worth it, though, I think, for the nice shine on the lightsaber handles and blaster barrels.

In it's pretty frame:

Han is quite happy with it himself, and stands by his words!

Just to be clear...I don't condone gun violence at all. Just being a movie buff.

Thanks for looking!

Edit 8/14/08: I've been interviewed on the Official Star Wars blog about this project!  Cheesy Check it out: http://starwarsblog.starwars.com/index.php/2008/08/13/han-solo-cross-stitch-sampler/

Edit 1/19/15: I'm sorry, but the pattern is no longer available. You can read the full story on my blog, but in a nutshell, I discovered that some folks have been ignoring the disclaimer and selling their finished versions of my pattern online, and in an effort to protect myself and my work, I felt it best to remove it for now. I hope you understand.
