Having too much fun making notebooks... journals... whatever they are.  Smiley

made this with the covers off one of my hubby's books that had fallen apart. Don't know what to do with the pages now.

Next stop... library discards pile.  Smiley

hello. Smiley I love this. definitely the roughed up edges... I've been wanting to do something similar with some of my stash of interesting covers, maybe this will inspire me... I will certainly stick it in my bookmarks! well done, anyway, especially for such neat stitching, and I'll look out for more of your works.

keep it up Wink

this looks great!

i also have a bunch of kids books that i am looking to stitch up. i have recently fallen victim to the journal making bug (waiting for my first codex to dry right now!)

what to do with the pages from is an interesting question - i have seen some journals that incorporate a page or so into each signature, but the only way to do that with the exposed spine is to reglue the pages together...i might try it on a hardy boys book i've got on deck.

ahhh, sorry I didn't include this before...

I've fixed in old pages before by seperating individual pages so you have, say, two A5-ish sheets side by side, and using masking tape to hold them together so they can be folded together down the middle.

as long as you're gentle with the masking tape "spine" & do double layers if necessary, that seems to work okay Smiley I guess you could use clear tape but masking tape generally has a similar texture to rough paper, and might bend more easily/blend in with the worn style of the notebooks you're making.
