i just got really bored and wanted to make another brim hat so i whipped one up in the last hour.
i love it!! it's my second brimmed hat, entirely my own pattern but i tweaked it a little so it's better than the first one!
onto pics!

i love the stripe in the middle, it reminds me of ninja turtles! hooray for crazy yarn scraps.
thanks for looking!  Cheesy Grin

Super sweet hat!  The shape is perfect... colors are great.  Is there anything supporting the brim to make it stiff?

nope. the entire hat is double stranded with an i hook, the brim is the same way but single crochet instead of half double.

I really like the hat anyway, but the fact that its made from scraps makes me like it even more.  Is it like the high end stuff or those damned acrylics I can never find a place for? Wink

cheap stuff! haha, i can never bring myself to buy high end yarn. i always get cheap stuff, just grab a bunch of scraps of the same weight and go until you don't have them, i've made 3 or 4 hats like that and people say they're my best yet!  Smiley

O man... I'm stash-busting at the moment, but as I gather some more scraps, I think I'm going to try this hat out.  Thanks for the inspiration. Wink

I've been wanting a hat like that. How did you make the brim?
