today's skirt... it's gotten cat approval at least, or maybe he just wants some catnip. i'm trying to learn something new with every skirt i sew. there's alot to learn..
today's lessons
don't screw up using bias tape for a hem. it turns into another lesson in stitch removal.
once your cat chews on your bias tape it's pretty much agonner.
darts are your friend- making them symmetrical is not so friendly but it is possible
i'm resigned to just handsewing zippers rather than arguing with the machine, in the future i'll just do it while i watch a movie

That's a really cute skirt. You did a great job with it. Every project is a learning project. Cute kitties, is the white and orange one as big as he looks in the picture?  Tongue

Yay finally done moving!

pinkyyarn- thank ya :> i just feel super tedious posting skirt after similar skirt.. but.. the first skirt i made took me 5+ hours this one took me about an hour from cutting to clipping threads when done.. was either spend time doing repetitive projects or reach frustration thresh hold with sewing and quit. it forced me to get much better acquainted with basics of my sewing machine.. so this skirt a day thing is really like self imposed sewing bootcamp for me.. only alot more fun. and it involves textiles and not mud. ok, maybe not like bootcamp.

anyway, yes, mr. pumpkin chunks really is a hefty kitty. he's recently gotten started on an exercise regiment, he really Is in bootcamp "wake up, it's 8am time to chase the laser pointer!" he's soft and squishy and wonderful and there are few things i enjoy as much in this world as hugging the squishmonster but i worry about his health, so now we all get to exercise. random factoid about demonic eyed kitty- he is going to be 19 next month. yeay for feline longevity!
