I created this for a swap.  My partner has received so I am not spoiling the surprise.  This is the photo of the one I sent, but I liked it so much that I duplicated it almost exactly for myself.  Co-workers have threatened to lift it so I thought it might be enjoyed here.

How magnificent!  Dragonflies are the coolest insect with wings!  If not the coolest period!

This is so beautiful, what kind of bead did you use for the head, it's a perfect shape..  The colours are great, any chance you would share how you made it?  How long is it,  I'm guessing 3" with tail?

Yes, roughly three inches total.  It is from the book French Beaded Designs by Donna DeAngelis Dickit (I got it from my local library)

In the book it is intended as a stick to be placed in a flower pot (of other French Beaded items) but instead of putting it on a stem, I wired it to a pin.

The bead is just a simple faceted glass bead I found on a string at JoAnn's

That is so intricate and beautiful!  Nice romantic, gothic colors and the beads are really nice.  Super job!
